After early beginnings on stage, in the studio and on television with local Quebec artists, Rachelle was spotted and approached by Celine Dion.

 

After an audition concert in front of 30 000 people, Rachelle was chosen as her soprano back vocalist. 

 

For two years on a world tour, she sang and danced with the superstar on legendary stages like the Madison Square Gardens, Bercy, Budokan, Wembley Arena, to name a few.

 

Rachelle also appeared on TV shows like David Letterman, Jay Leno, Rosie O'Donell and Taratata.

 

Other major stars of the French music world such as Johnny Halliday, Véronique Sanson and Eddy Mitchell have also collaborated with Rachelle as choreographer and chief back vocalist on their respective tours. 

 

Legendary Robert Charlebois even shared his front stage with her, featuring Rachelle and her comedic talents in an explosive and hilarious duet.


The leadsinger

As the lead singer of different bands in the last 25 years, Rachelle has been touching and entertaining crowds of all kinds.

 

With successful party bands, Rachelle has performed, through the years, in over a thousand private and corporate events.

 

While performing in Paris for many years, she was the lead singer of the no1 party band called ''Les Enfants de la Nuit'', playing 120 events per year.

    

Her huge and versatile repertoire of  150 songs ranges from disco to funk, pop & soul, rock&roll, bossa nova, jazz, gospel and even a bit of opera!


Other highlights of Rachelle's entertainment career

  • In 2015, Rachelle gave a four-chair-turning, standing ovation performance at the blind auditions on the Voice of Germany.
  • In 2018,  she performed as Disco Queen at the world renown Vienna Opera Ball .
  • That same year, Rachelle was part of Cesar Sampson's Austrian winning team at the Eurovision.
  • In 2020, Rachelle sang as a Bond girl in ''The Music of James Bond'' concert with the Augusta Symphonic Orchestra, in Atlanta USA.  Her featured solo pieces were ''Golden Eye'', ''Moonraker'' and Shirley Bassey's legendary ''Gold Finger''.
  • In April 2024, Rachelle performed at the Wien Konzerthaus as part of the tribute to Barbra Streisand. She was one of the guests of Maya Hakvoort, the grande Dame of musicals, singing Donna Summer in the famous duet ''Enough is Enough''.

The Artist

As solo artist, Rachelle released four albums to her name, one of which - D'Âme Soul -  as singer songwriter, in French, her Mother Tongue.

 

In 2012, Rachelle was invited to sing at the United Nations in New York, in the name of her country of origin, Haiti.

 

The following year, the Vienna Boys Choir received Rachelle as their guest singer,  on stage and in the studio, on their very first gospel recording ''Oh Mary don't you weep!''. This song appears on their Christmas album and DVD  ''Songs for Mary''.

 

In 2021, virtuoso Tuba player Jon Sass integrated Rachelle as the new lead singer and percussionist of his  ''Destiny Band''. Together they have played at the Saalfelden Jazz Festival and at the Porgy & Bess in Vienna.

 

B3 Hammond wizard Raphael Wressnig has been also featuring Rachelle as guest singer of his internationally renown Soul Gift band. They recently played together at the Dubai Blues Festival and were highlighted as the closing act of the event. 

 

In 2022, Rachelle released a controversial song called Break Free as co-composer, text writer and guest singer of superfunk band ''The Turtlenecks'' composed of Hans Jürgen Bart (Parov Stelar), Paul Slaviczek (Folkshilfe) and Oliver Kerschbaumer (Hot Pants Road Club).

 

Rachelle Jeanty aka ''Rachelle Raw'' is currently preparing a brand new repertoire, in French, English and Creole, inspired by the rhythms and soul of Haiti.
It's a return to the roots for the artist, the new awakening of her pen and a musical fusion of jazz, rara, dance and spirituality that opens a new chapter for this seasoned performer.
